He would have been 34 years-old THIS YEAR (2004)

Gone... But not forgotten! We all remember his death...
He died at [approximately] 1:14am on the morning of Sunday
October 31st {Halloween} 1993; on the sidewalk outside the back
door (on Sunset Blvd.) of Johnny Depp's 'Viper Room' Nightclub
at 8852 Sunset Blvd; West Hollywood, California... Pronounced
dead at 1:51am [37 minutes later] by Dr. Paul Silka of Cedars-Sinai
Hospital...

[QUOTATION] "We did ten takes of the soliloquay, the last day we
shot with him on 'Dark Blood'. It was in the cave...
all lit by candles. After the last take I didn't turn off the camera.
When we saw the dailies, for ten seconds River was in front of the
camera, just a silhouette lit by ambient light. It was...eerie.
People were crying. We knew that was the last we would see of River."
Ed Lachman--Director of Photography--'Dark Blood'

I cannot even bear the memory.
Yet now I turn to it.
He is gone; and all the times when he was there
seem like lost riches!
...I know I'll miss him forever...
